Abstract
This qualifying paper will focus on collaborations between visual artists and musicians. The paper will include a short chapter on some examples of important collaborations in art history with an introduction to Andy Warhol's role in the combined music and art worlds. This paper will analyze two specific partnerships in two case studies: Lady Gaga and Jeff Koons, and Jay-Z and Marina Abramovic. Overall, the importance of these collaborations will be discovered as well as the benefits for each of the individuals involved. This paper compiles a variety of sources from books, news publications, websites, videos, interviews, and more.
